Our Story
Onyx Educate (Pty) Ltd (Onyx) was founded in 2020 with a primary focus in reducing the academic dropout rate in high school and tertiary institutions across South Africa and creating a lasting, positive impact in the lives of families of would-be graduates for generations to come.
Fundamentally, aiming to design a simplified, effective and successful transition for young people from high school to university through affordable, online, supplementary education.
Since inception, we’ve helped over 9000 students, between the ages of 10 and 23, achieve their academic goals. We’ve filled over 80000 seats in our affordable online classes and developed winning mindsets in students that had previously felt lost or afraid.

Our tutors are handpicked, trained, vetted, and given the Onyx seal of approval. Every Onyx tutor we hire undergoes rigorous interviewing, skills tests and training. Above all, all tutors believe in making a difference, supporting their students, encouraging powerful thoughts, dreams, ambitions and mindsets!
